Title: Why Mycroft Worries Constantly About His Youngest Brother or How Willoughby Holmes Wooed and Won the Heart of James Bond
Canon: James Bond 007/Sherlock BBC
Pairing: James Bond/Q; side of Sherlock Holmes/John Watson
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 23,114
Summary: The youngest Holmes holds a minor position at MI6, but somehow still manages to do more damage than Mycroft at his worst. Post Skyfall AU, Q is a little younger and a tad more innocent, and Alec is a good guy and still alive. Reichenbach Falls didn’t (and won’t) happen.
Recommendation: I must admit to liking Bondlock particularly when Q is the youngest Holmes brother, but I’ve notice that usually he is portrayed as the most sane and adjusted of the three. What I like most about this portrayal is that he is just as nutty and maladjusted as either of the older Holmeses, if not more so. James is eventually drawn in despite the crazy, or more accurately because of the crazy. Mycroft is a manipulative bastard (who loves his brothers) and John is a treasure (everybody thinks so). And last but not least, Jane Austen references for the win.
